Financial Analyst – Accounting Amazon’s global accounting team seeks auditors and financial accountants who consistently exceed expectations, thrive in a demanding work environment, and can join our talented team. The accounting department in the world is responsible for our internal financial reporting, internal controls, cross-company and transfer pricing. It is also responsible for new business launches across the globe to Amazon across the various consumer product and digital initiatives, as well as operations, logistics, merchant and payments, and cloud computing business lines.
It is intended to meet the experience requirements of several professions (e.g., CPA) and certificates (e.g., CIA, CISA) and develop an array of knowledge and skills in the field of Accounting through a two-year rotation program. The program provides structured training and development, networking, and comradery opportunities.
A Financial Analyst will assist with the two lines of work: Central Line (e.g., Financial Reporting, M&A, Intercompany) and Business-line Accounting (e.g., Inventory Payments, Digital) throughout their time within the program. Participants will be following a six-month/month/1 year rotation plan. They will be exposed to monthly reporting, month-end closure procedures, internal controls, analysis, technical accounting, digital initiatives, and new commercial launches.
Candidates with a strong background in the operational accounting concepts of purchasing, inventory and receivables, payables, and revenue. Successful applicants will bring various perspectives and experiences (whether from their education, lives, or prior job positions).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Are you at least 18 years old or older
– Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (or a dual/sub-matriculation master’s degree program you are completing concurrently with your Bachelor’s degree at the same school) with a graduation conferral date between December 2022 – June 2023.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Accounting.

Understanding of fundamental business concepts as well as accounting principles.
– Effective written, interpersonal, and oral communication with a clear eye on delivering results for business.
Proven track record making use of metrics and data to make informed decisions and create solutions that can be scaled.

– The ability to think strategically and make decisions in uncertainty.
– Excellent organization and time management abilities.

Our compensation reflects the labor price across several US geographical markets. The salary base for this position is $47,500 in our lowest geographical market to $109,200 in our most prestigious geographical market.
Pay is determined by several factors, such as location in the market, and can differ based on job-related knowledge, abilities, experience, and skills.
